1.The fee for all funerals in the Rimbey United Church is $700 and  is payable to the Rimbey United Church.

 

2.  The fee covers honoraria for the minister, janitor and AV tech and use of the church building (sanctuary, lower hall with kitchen,).  In the event that the church does not receive payment, the above honoraria shall still apply. 

 

3. It  is assumed  that the permanent Rimbey United Church minister will perform all funeral  services. If  the regular minister is away the designated United Church clergy will  be paid the honorarium from  the regular fee, and any travel expenses shall be the responsibility of the Rimbey United Church. If  possible, honorarium for visiting clergy shall be paid the day of the service. 

 

4.  Should the family  desire to include a second clergy, in addition to the United Church minister there must be consultation with the United church minister and the Board chair.  The family will be  responsible for any honorarium to the additional clergy.

 

5.  The United Church organist may be available for an additional fee of $150. If the family requests an alternate or additional musician the family will be responsible for any honorarium.

 

6. The  above fees apply only to  services conducted in the Rimbey United Church. All  fees for funerals held outside the church involving our minister or organist are  the responsibility of  the involved  parties.

 

7.  The use of Rimbey United Church by another denomination shall  be at  the discretion of the minister and or the Board Chair. The fee shall be $400 and includes the sanctuary, lower hall with kitchen and AV tech.

 

8. No family will  be refused funeral  services for financial reasons. When a financial concern is identified, the minister  shall consult with a member of the Board to  come to a resolution.

Upon request, funeral lunches may be organized by the women of the church (UCW and UCLF) and fees depend on what type of lunch is provided. For more information about funeral lunches please contact the church office. Numbers will be estimated by the family. If more than 25 over the estimated number are served an additional fee may be charged. The fee includes all of the food, the set up, the service and the clean up. ​If you have another group you would like to cater the lunch in our hall, you are welcome to use the facilities for no additional fee if the funeral service is held in the church.
