On September 21, 2025, Rimbey United Church celebrated its formal transition to an Affirming Ministry within the United Church of Canada.  As an Affirming Ministry, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing community where all are welcome.

 

We embrace and respect all people, including all experiences of marital status, household composition, family dynamics, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, socio-economic circumstance, and mental or physical abilities.  This includes marginalized minorities, the oppressed, refugees, immigrants and those of diverse political or theological backgrounds and beliefs.

 

We affirm that each person’s identity is from God and is a gift from God.  At Rimbey United you are welcome regardless of who you are, or whom you love.

 

Rimbey United Church is an evolving community of faith that seeks to intentionally welcome newcomers, new perspectives and innovative leadership.  We not only accept, but also celebrate the richness, the change and the growth this brings to our journey together.

 

The way of Jesus calls us to intentionally support, engage and care for one another, especially when our diversity is challenging, or when our understandings of faith differ. We are called to encourage all people to use their gifts for the common good of our faith community.
