About the Event
Turning Point Society in Red Deer has been responding to the needs of communities using a harm reduction approach for 30 years.
Turning point runs 6 different programs. One of these is called “Night Reach”. Night Reach is a mobile outreach program providing after hours support to the homeless in Red Deer’s downtown, city parks and river valley areas. A team of two walk the streets and paths 365 evenings a year with backpacks full of clothing , first aid supplies, snacks. and referral information.
This is the third year Rimbey United Church plans to support this program by collecting winter clothing for adult men and women. Our current focus is a WINTER BOOT DRIVE.
