Turning Point

Turning Point Society in Red Deer has been responding to the needs of communities using a harm reduction approach for 30 years.

Turning Point runs 6 different programs, one of which is Called "NightReach".  This will be the 4th year that the Rimbey United Church has been running a Winter Clothing drive to support this program.

More about NightReach

365 evenings a year, a team of two NightReach staff walk the streets and paths offering after-hour support to a wide range of individuals facing vulnerability due to place or circumstance. NightReach staff are easily recognizable by their bright red backpacks, which are packed with a wide range of harm reduction materials, clothing, first aid supplies and snacks.

NightReach also provides non-judgmental support and referrals for food, housing, health care, addictions, pregnancy support, legal concerns and employment services to many street-involved individuals. Staff also do debris clean-up as required.

Monetary Donations may be made at the Rimbey United Church, and they will be forwarded to Turning Point.

Donations of winter clothing, gloves, handwarmers and toothbrushes may be made at the Rimbey United Church or Rimbey Municipal Library
